THE BEST MAKEUP FOR AN OILY FREE DAY

I decided to write this blog because I think I have finally found my holy grail products for an oily free skin during the day.

I used to hate the fact that my makeup would always separate and id becomes an oily mess by sometimes even 10 am, I tried different things such as changing my skincare up (sometimes can be the reason for having oily skin) change makeup try every single foundation that could possibly work for my oily skin drugstore and high end.

These products are based on what has begun to work well with my skin, yes, it make be different to yours, but theses are just some things that might be worth a try, sadly all theses have been tested and trialed in winter so hopefully they can still make it through the 40 degree months.

I'll start with the base or primer it took me a while to actually find a primer worth having, as most of the ones had before didn't really do anything amazing or not anything different -have  tired MAC skin visage and mostly everyone's holy grail HOURGLASS mineral veil sadly just kept plowing thought tiny bottles of that stuff that wasn't really giving me the result I wanted, anyway, I would have to say the two best primers I have tried would have to be SMASHBOX photo finish LIGHT primer - this primer is really great for oily skin it seems to just glide and keep everything in place. My holy grail for sure would DERMALOGICA - skinperfect primer - I've never been the one for velvety silicone primers but this one doesn't seem to break me out and actually works with my skin to create a an amazing base I love that has a little tint to it so it can be worn alone sadly not brave enough for that yet!

Foundation's can be tricky to pick I've heard of so many that are oil free and stay all day and blah blah but just don't live up to the hype. Obviously I tend to go for a full coverage thick long lasting matte foundation because I feel theses last longer with my oily skin and I suppose it's just what Iam used to now.
Foundations there's probably two or three that have made the cut, MAKEUP FOREVER MATT VELVET Foundation the only reason wouldn't say this is in my top two would because 1 is really expensive and hard to get in Australia and 2 colors are a bit iffy for me personally other then that it is definitely VERY full coverage and lasts quite a while next one is REVLON COLORSTAY always end up going back to this little gem, has a great holding power for a drugstore foundation and it's really amazing worth checking out if on a budget my holy grail would have to be ESTÉE LAUDER - DOUBLEWEAR LIGHT
I've just recently rediscovered this amazing foundation and it's the perfect canvas for my face I love it so much it's pretty everything I need in a foundation BUT the lightest color can look quite dark on me :( which sucks but only cause Iam so pale

If there was one thing I was going to say go buy ASAP! It definitely would be this MAC BLOT POWDER  nothing compares this amazing powder pretty much a life saver I recommend before going out and buying a whole new foundation primer so on.. Definitely need to try this first it may the answer to your prayers. I just can't explain how amazing this powder is it has amazing staying powder over any tinted moisturizer or other foundations.
This product usually lasts me around 3 months, so really worth the splurge I feel!

Setting sprays are an added extra I personally have started always spraying URBAN DECAY - DESLICK finishing spray, it's just another thing to go on my face really but I feel whilst also helping this the staying powder and maybe a little bit of the oily side it helps not make my face to matte or cakey looking make it more natural even though it's far from it haha.

MY FAVES FOR OILY/COMBO - SKINCARE & MAKEUP

After Posting Numerous pictures on instagram of my fave products I have found for oily and combo skin And getting a few requests I decided to write a post on what I like to use on my oily skin.

Skincare
(I have only been using these current products for a short time, so theses are just my reviews on how I've seen results as of now)

The good thing about Dermalogica is its recommended from beauty therapist  all over the world, the price can't doubt people on theses products, but I always say that you get what you paid for.

Dermalogica Medibac Cleansing Face wash: I've been using this for a couple of weeks, and I can see my skin texture is already changing my acne is also shrinking and currently only have hormonal breakouts which can't be helped.
It has an unusual but nice smell to it sort of smells like aloe Vera mixed with something else ha-ha can't quite put my finger on it! It lathers up quite well and also when using my Clarisonic. It hasn't Stripped my skin or anything from being too strong BUT I did buy the active moist, which is a light moisturizer purpose for oily skin.

Dermalogica Active Moist: Again been only using this for a couple of weeks, tend to only wear it at night or if not wearing any makeup. Dermalogica recommends this for people who are on the oilier side as it soaks up oil but is oil-free.
When applying this I only use the Tiniest bit ever! And apply all over my face, it soaks in so well and doesn't even feel like you have applied any, it doesn't leave your skin, oily like most moisturizers do, even if they say their oil free and don't cause more "oil" Haven't tried, but if you're very oily they also have one called oil control lotion - Dermalogica: 'An oil-free, feather-light lotion to help hydrate while reducing shine. Non-greasy formula soothes irritated skin and helps eliminate congestion while preventing future breakouts. Microspheres help absorb oil on the skin's surface, leaving skin with an all-day matte finish. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors.' But I also think that they would be more suited for someone during the day not at night, this one is light enough for wearing under makeup I feel.

Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel: This clearing gel, is one of the best I've treated I feel it helps with Preventing and getting rid of present pimples, not much I can say about this product as of yet, but I'll still continue to use it. Dermalogica says: 'An overnight treatment that helps clear skin, calm inflammation and prevent future breakouts by reducing excess sebum, removing impaction plugs and eliminating bacteria that contribute to congestion. Contains no artificial fragrance or color'

Makeup
Primer- Smashbox Photo finish Light + Blemish Control: When using the Smashbox photo finish Blemish control it is best to use with another primer otherwise if used on whole face I was advised it can cause your face to become very dry as it has acne preventing ingredients.

Foundations - I'am still looking for the perfect foundation for my skin type but I do prefer a matte and stay long foundation - For some reason I always end up back at Revlon colorstay, I do also like MAC studio fix and Makeup forever Matte Foundation and Estee Lauder Double wear Light.

Powder- MAC Blot Pressed Powder: I don't know why this powder is not talked about more it has done amazing things for my skin, I don't even have to worry about if I have oiliness coming through, and the fact that it lasts all day is amazing! And if I do have natural oils slightly appearing I don't mind because it look like my skin is just really healthy.

There possibly could be a part 2 of this blog post so stay tune!

Review: True Match Foundation by Loreal

Today I'am reviewing the True Match Loreal - W1

First of all when I look for a foundation to buy I base the pick on theses 3 things: How long it last, How well it covers my face and How quickly it shows my oily skin coming through.

I'am so disappointed in this foundation, and after hearing such amazing things about it and people saying it's there new holy grail foundation and so on I had such high hopes:(

Many people said this was a medium to full coverage foundation, on their website it states  "True Match Super-Blendable Makeup precisely matches your skin’s tone and texture and coordinates perfectly formulated with Precise Match Technology so you can control the coverage and fine-tune it. Ultra-pure formula contains no oils, fragrances, or pore-clogging fillers, so all you see is beautiful, radiant, flawless skin"

First Reason why I dislike like this foundation, As soon as I put two pumps on my beauty blender I knew by the Watery texture of the foundation it was not going to go down well ha-ha, I normally use a very thick consistency foundation Revlon colorstay which is one of my holy grail foundations, but I'am always trying to find a foundation that is better.
You can sort of see how waterly the consists is in the picture above

I work all day and, mostly long hours and sometimes it can be sweaty so I need a foundation that can keep up with that. THIS TRANSFERS LIKE NO OTHER FOUNDATION I HAVE EVER TRIED!
Like my nose was itchy so I rubbed it nek minute all the makeup was on my hand and there was no makeup left on my nose. Now it's not like I don't set my makeup, I feel like this has more of a tinted moisturizer kind of formula.

The first Picture is just applied looking all nice, the second picture is after a few mins and rubbed into the skin, As you can it has grabbed to my fine lines and gone all weird to be honest I can explain it but it just doesn't sit to well on my skin.

Thirdly, I've had a couple of people talk to me on my instagram about the color selection they have, and how there isn't much to choose from, Personally I think they cater more to yellow tone skin tones then pinky skin tones which can make people look quite pastey.

Overall: Main reason I don't like this, Doesn't stay on my face long enough and isn't full coverage enough for me.
These are my opinions and if you're deciding between this foundation, its best just to give it a shot or try to get a sample because they're lost of mixed reviews about it.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Maybe a worst enemy, haha jokes BUT DEFAINTLY NOT!

Beautyfordayz rating love heart:

I give this 1 Beautyfordayz love heart, isn't even worth the one love heart for an everyday foundation but it does have a chance of being a tinted moisturizer and I don't want to bash it just because it isn't want I'am looking for a lot of people love this foundation.
